Is there a way to have different hair colors per outfit when assigning it in cas? I wanted drag queen sims too haha. Sims 4 hairstyles are linked based on the hex codes of the swatches.

It would be cool to have a different hair colour for each outfit.
To do this, open the cheat console box by pressing ctrl+shift +c.
You'd need to convert the hairs you want to use as wigs into hats, basically. Once in the google drive link, you can select which files to download by ctrl + left clicking or shift + left clicking, then right clicking and selecting download. I have master controller but it doesn't seem to allow this, only a different color per category like everyday and formalwear. Any mod can do so?
• when you are playing the household you can always click on the sim and change to whatever outfit you want. Google drive will then.zip the selected files and download to your computer. Before using cheats, players need to enable them. As it is, if you change the color, the new color applies to all outfits.
They want a different color with one outfit, kinda like a costume wig.
The only way i know to change the hair color for different outfits is by using cc. Just set the hair style with each outfit and it will save it like that. I prefer how sims look in general in ts4, but i miss that level of color detail in ts3. Maybe they could implement this in a future update!

When you go to hair look at the top and you'll see a lock click the lock so it opens go to your everyday outfit go back to hair when the lock should still be open and do what you want with the hair (make it blonde) the go to formal do your outfit then go back to hair make sure the lock is still unlocked the do the hair (make it black) now when.
It will also make you have some automatic everyday hair changes per season if you have seasons (there is a specific hot weather and cold weather everyday outfit for those seasons).
At the top of the outfit list you should have an outfit with a little symbol across it (looks like a sideways figure eight). You click on that once. I think with the game you can only change the style. Unfortunately ea have not made a way to change the color of a sims hair per outfit but there is probably a mod/cc that would allow you to do this.
I don't know if it changed with the new update or not, but i think you can go in and change the hair color for the specific outfit and it will work. For glossy eyes custom content for the sims 4, visit this. If you want to have a linked color, just write down the hex code of the color you used, and use that in your next creation. Click on it and it will take you to a page very similar to the “create a sim” page.
If you are changing it while everyday outfit 1 is selected, it usually applies to all outfits (sometimes glitches though), if you are changing it with any.
I do really miss that! I do really miss that! I wanted to make a sim who is a cosplayer, and so she'd be dressed up as. When your done simply click on the top outfit again and it should lock.

I really want a mod that allows different hair color per outfit (not just category) what i mean by this is, i want everyday 1 and everyday 2 to have different hair colors and so on. I recommend either the color slider mod or these hair overlays. I don't think you can.
Whenever i tried to change the colour for everyday or formal it also changed for the other.
Work yourself out with the lock/unlock system for the outfit, and click done. It doesn't seem to work with pure black (#000000) and the colors get glitchy if there's too little difference between the codes like #000000 and say #000001 This should open all the outfit options, then you would click on which outfit your want to change the hair on and go for it. You can have hair style with different color in it.
In sims3 nraas would do that. Sims 4 > different hair color per outfit; Different hair color for each outfit. I was a little bummed about it.
You can only change the hairstyle for each outfit, not the colour.
No it doesn't with haircolours, i had a sim who was supposed to wear a blonde wig with her everyday and formal outfits and having short, black hair with her sleep and work out wear. The pack comes includes swatches of natural shades like light ash browns, medium blondes, deep rich chestnut browns and more. It's a shame that the desiners have not found a way to make this happen yet hopfully they will if ever the next sims game is ever made.
