My sim cannot change into any other outfit than the debate jacket and pants, no matter the outfit category, and when i go to cas it shows correct outfits, please help!

No matter what outfit we have in the every day slot #1, changing into that outfit will change our characters into an outfit that's just the default bra, 1 bracelet and 1 necklace.
I've seen a few people mentioning this bug on the official forums and was wondering if anyone had identified the cause yet. Only, it’ll get stuck on the current outfit but if i go to “change outfit,” it’ll have the outfit they were trying to change into highlighted. I've gone to plan outfits at the dresser multiple times now and corrected outfits. Once the clothing has been removed or repaired, a sim’s bathing outfit can be reset by running the “clean outfits” mc dresser command.
